How Jess coaches

Your goal is personal. The coaching decisions should be too.

As a Level 3 Strength Coach and Sports Nutrition Coach, Jess brings coaching knowledge to every decision. Powerlifting competition, former amateur boxing and major change of her own add practical perspective on what the work asks of you.

  • Your circumstances belong in the plan

Your goal, experience and training setup shape the work. Jess considers where you are now and what your week can genuinely hold.

  • Strength and fuelling follow one goal

Programming and sports-nutrition guidance can be considered together, keeping training, recovery and fuelling decisions pointed in the same direction.

  • Feedback turns into a next step

Weekly check-ins, progress reviews, direct communication and technique or food-journal feedback show what needs attention. Your app-delivered plan can change when circumstances do.

Before you enquire

You don’t need everything figured out

Ask Jess about your goal
Can I start if I’m completely new to strength training?
Yes. Jess coaches complete beginners alongside experienced lifters and competitive athletes. Your experience and goal shape what comes first.
Can I train at home, or do I need a gym?
Either can work. Training is built around your goal and the equipment you can access at home or in a gym.
How is online coaching kept individual?
Your plan is delivered through an app and built around your circumstances. Weekly check-ins, progress reviews, direct communication and technique or food-journal feedback help Jess adjust it when needed.
Can strength coaching and sports nutrition be combined?
Yes, when it makes sense for your goal. Sports-nutrition coaching can support practical fuelling, performance and recovery, but it does not include diagnosis, medical nutrition therapy or dietetic care.
What changes when I’m preparing to compete?
Competition preparation considers the event’s demands and timing, then shapes training, fuelling and feedback around them. The decisions will depend on your sport, experience and circumstances.
Are private sessions part of online coaching?
No. Local coaching is separate from the ongoing online format and consists of 40-minute private strength or boxing sessions with Jess through The 44 Gym in Traralgon.
