One-to-one coaching

The plan starts with the person doing the work

Your goal matters, but so do your experience, where and how you train, and everything competing for time outside it. Jess uses that context to decide what belongs in your coaching and what does not.

That may mean strength programming, sports-nutrition guidance and mindset-informed accountability working together, or focused support in one area. Jess coaches first-time trainees, recreational lifters, powerlifters, endurance athletes and combat-sport competitors without treating their needs as interchangeable.

Coaching services

Choose the focus that matches the work ahead

Some goals need strength and nutrition to move together. Others call for a sharper focus on technique, fuelling, an event or private time in the gym. Start with the area closest to your current priority.

  • Premium 1:1 Coaching

Individual programming, sports nutrition and mindset-informed coaching can sit in one plan, with regular check-ins and ongoing support when your goal calls for all three.

  • Strength & Performance Coaching

Develop general strength, refine technique, build muscle or prepare for powerlifting competition with programming focused on the demands in front of you.

  • Sports Nutrition & Body Composition

Work on practical fuelling, performance, recovery, sustainable fat loss or muscle gain. This is coaching, not medical nutrition therapy or dietetic care.

  • Endurance & Event Nutrition

Work through food, fluids and timing for half marathons, marathons, trail runs, Spartan events, ultramarathons and Backyard Ultra events.

  • Combat-Sport Preparation

Plan nutrition across fight camp, approach weight management with performance and wellbeing in view, and prepare what you will eat and drink after the weigh-in.

  • Private Coaching in Traralgon

Train privately with Jess in a 40-minute strength or boxing session through The 44 Gym in Traralgon, separate from online coaching.

Inside individual coaching

Jess starts with your goal and circumstances, then focuses coaching where it will be most useful.

  • A plan you can follow

An individual training or nutrition plan can be delivered through the coaching app, giving you one clear place to see the work ahead.

  • A weekly point of review

A weekly check-in and progress review can show what happened, what changed and what needs attention next.

  • Feedback on the details

Jess may review technique, habits or a food journal when that information is relevant to the goal you’re working on.

  • Changes when the context changes

Direct communication and ongoing support can make room for adjustments when training, recovery, progress or life circumstances shift.

Starting coaching

One enquiry begins the conversation. You both decide what follows.

  1. 01

Tell Jess what you’re working towards

Send a general coaching enquiry with your goal and experience. Jess can discuss what you need and whether it makes sense for both of you to continue.

  2. 02

    Gather the details that matter

If you decide to move ahead together, Jess gathers the starting information relevant to your goal, circumstances and chosen type of coaching.

  3. 03

    Begin with your individual plan

Jess prepares the plan around the agreed focus, whether the work centres on training, nutrition or both.

  4. 04

    Review the work each week

Weekly check-ins and progress reviews create a regular point to look at the work, respond to change and adjust what comes next.

Make the options clearer

Compare the details that change how coaching works

Do I need training experience before I enquire?
No. Complete beginners can share their starting point and goal without choosing a service first. Jess can then discuss which kind of coaching may be worth considering.
Is home training handled differently from gym training?
The exercises and progression can be built around the equipment you have and what you want to achieve. A gym may suit some goals, but it is not a blanket requirement.
Can I work on nutrition without strength coaching?
Yes. Sports Nutrition & Body Composition can stand alone, or nutrition can sit alongside strength programming when the same goal calls for both.
What makes competition preparation different from general coaching?
The sport, event demands and timing shape the training, fuelling and feedback. Preparing for a meet, race or fight is not simply a harder version of an everyday plan.
How do local sessions compare with online coaching?
Online coaching can provide an individual plan, weekly review, feedback and adjustments over time. Local coaching is a separate 40-minute private strength or boxing session with Jess through The 44 Gym in Traralgon.
Can Jess help with medical nutrition concerns?
Sports-nutrition coaching does not include diagnosis, medical nutrition therapy or dietetic care. Those needs should be handled by an appropriately qualified health professional.
